  • What’s your favourite part of the job?

    Finding out about a new industry, looking for new business and securing contracts, so that we can continue to grow into the future.

  • What did you want to be when you were at school?

    A writer.

  • Who would play you in a TV series based on Highlander?

    Dot Cotton from Eastenders (BBC1 soap)

  • Your favourite band or singer now and when you were 13?

    When I was 13yrs (struggling to remember that far back!) I loved Rod Stewart or Tamla Motown. Now I appreciate a wide variety of sounds with a major emphasis on anything found on a ‘˜Euphoria’ or ‘˜Gatecrasher’ CD.

  • Where would you like to see the company in 5 years’ time?

    Highlander has every reason to continue its successful growth and providing great recycling solutions for Scottish business.

  • Your favourite place you‘ve been and one place you’d like to visit?

    There are many places I have loved, including New York, Hong Kong and Venice. I love the Aegean Greek Islands where I have been on holidays since the late 70’s and would like to explore more of them.

  • Age and place of birth?

    Stevenage, Herts. Yes…where Lewis Hamilton is from! Ps. The wrong side of 55!

  • What’s your least favourite part of the job - and why?

    Working in the rain! It is not the fault of the industry….just the climate in Scotland!

  • What do you like to do when you’re not working?

    Training in the gym is a must, as is spending time with my daughters and friends when possible. I love fine dining’, music and the Arts’…. and avoid all nature of domestic housework whenever possible!

  • Your favourite movie of all time?

    The Godfather Trilogy – Al Pacino rocks!!

  • What do you drink at work and what do you drink out of work?

    I drink coffee, tea and more tea at work (thanks to Abi) and as far as outside of work is concerned…it depends who is buying!!

  • Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?

    Fit, healthy and happy!

  • If you were stranded in a desert island, what three things would you have with you?

    Robinson Crusoe’s manual for survival, Tesco handmade crisps and a bottle of Wolf Blass Australian Chardonnay.
